Brand Collaboration Brief Template: Creator & Streetwear Partnership Checklist (2026)

A collaboration gets expensive when the idea is clear but the agreement is not. This resource gives independent brands, creators and artists a copyable brief for defining the work before design, content or production starts.

Copyable brand collaboration brief

1. Partnership overview

  • Brand / creator:
  • Project name:
  • Primary contact:
  • Launch date:
  • Primary goal: sales, awareness, audience growth, event or content
  • Target customer:

2. Creative direction

  • Core idea in one sentence:
  • Required brand marks:
  • Colors / typography:
  • Reference links:
  • Elements that must not be used:

3. Deliverables

Write quantities and formats, not vague labels. Example: two T-shirt graphics, four product mockups, one 9:16 launch video and six social assets.

  • Design deliverables:
  • Content deliverables:
  • Product deliverables:
  • File formats:
  • Revision rounds:
  • Final delivery date:

4. Money and ownership

  • Project fee or revenue split:
  • Deposit:
  • Production costs paid by:
  • Who owns final artwork:
  • Where each party may use the work:
  • How long usage permission lasts:
  • Who may approve paid advertising:

Put these terms into a signed agreement when money, licensing or ownership is involved. A creative brief organizes the project; it is not a substitute for legal advice.

Creator disclosure checklist

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission says material connections between an endorser and a brand should be disclosed clearly and conspicuously. A material connection can include payment, free or discounted products, employment, family or other relationships. The FTC also advises placing the disclosure with the endorsement itself rather than hiding it after a “more” click or among unrelated hashtags.

  • Identify whether the creator received money, free product, discount or another benefit.
  • Agree on clear disclosure wording before publishing.
  • For image-first formats, make the disclosure easy to notice.
  • For video endorsements, include disclosure in the video rather than relying only on the description.
  • Pre-approve factual product claims and campaign copy.

  • Product names and prices approved
  • Usage rights documented
  • Creator disclosures confirmed
  • Launch assets exported
  • Product URLs tested
  • Inventory or preorder method confirmed
  • Post-launch reporting owner assigned
